Your new role
The client is seeking an experienced Accounts Assistant to join the finance team for a 6-month period, covering a long term leave. Key responsibilities include:
- Responsible for accurate and timely interpretation, computation and issuing of invoices, via client Investment Management Agreements, of all performance fee accounts and all management fees for segregated accounts as well as issuing additional management fees for pooled fund accounts (as well as all the pooled funds as a whole) via the Pooled fund Operations Team.
- Credit control for all outstanding sales ledger items through direct client correspondence via email & telephone.
- Initial point of client contact on all matters concerning invoices issued, liaison with teams/staff across the business and third parties such as auditors, administrators and custodians.
- Monthly fee accrual/forecasting for all accounts and funds.
- 12 month rolling management fee accrual for all accounts/funds, completed on a quarterly basis.
- Direct point of liaison for the annual audit of all sales ledger activity.
- Posting of all invoices and corresponding income to Sage accounting software.
- All bank postings, reconciliation and revaluations in relation to the sales ledger for monthly financial close down.
What you'll need to succeed
- Strong buy side financial services experience is essential for this role.
- Part-qualified accountant.
- Previous experience as an accounts assistant, with some exposure to credit control ideal
- Excellent attention to detail and analytical mindset.
